Want a healthy life: A qualitative study on motivation to cease alcoholic drink addiction

Background: The alcoholic drink level of consumption is still high, particularly among adolescents and adults. Continuous drinks can lead to addiction, making it difficult cope with; however, some individuals with such a situation are could cease the habit. This study aims explore process breaking away from alcohol dependence.
 Methods: research approach used qualitative phenomenological design. Semi-structured interviews were conducted obtain in-depth data eight subjects selected according purposive sampling criteria. was analyzed using descriptive method.
 Results: results found four main themes for quitting beverages: influence experience becoming an addict, strong internal desire quit, being threatened by biological impacts, external driving factors quit.
 Conclusion: Based on findings, who want quit addiction must have desire, consider impact health factors.
